Robert Downey Jr is officially returning to the MCU but not as Tony Stark/Iron Man but the villaneous Victor Von "Doctor" Doom. This will not doubt help bring general audiences back to the MCU however is this a strategy that well go over well in the long term? Rather than cast a new actor in the role it does feel a bit desperate on the part of Disney, shelling out in excess of 80 million dollars for RDJ as well as the Russo Brothers for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
