Why did Barriss Offee age so much between her second and third shorts in Tales of the Empire? The Fourth Sister barely seemed to age at all, but Barriss is looking far more wisened. At the end of the short Realization, she promises not to let the Jedi die. At the start of The Way Out, she is referred to as the Healer. She must have done something to earn that reputation. My current guess is that she has been using her own life energy to heal others through the Force. Rey describes Force healing as exactly that. Giving some of your own life or Force energy to another. And we saw Ben Solo give so much of himself that he became one with the Force. I could see Barriss atoning for her actions in The Clone Wars by giving up her own vitality so that others, like the Jedi she promises to save, will live.
