In this segment of a special Q&A on Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Lost Missions, supervising director Dave Filoni, Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), and Tom Kane (Yoda) discuss the leader of the Jedi Council going rogue in “Voices.”
In “Voices,” Yoda seeks Anakin’s help when he needs to disobey the Council – escaping Coruscant for a private mission. “It’s so great and fitting that it’s Anakin helping Yoda,” Lanter says. Filoni agrees, and says that Yoda identifies with Anakin. “When he was only a hundred or so, I picture that he was a lot like Anakin,” he says. This arc reinforces an idea introduced in Attack of the Clones – that something the Jedi are doing is wrong – and Yoda is coming to a deeper understanding what that is. “They think they’re entitled to this power, and unfortunately, they’re all going to pay the price for it,” Filoni says.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Lost Missions is available now on Blu-ray and DVD.
