In this segment of a special Q&A on Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Lost Missions, supervising director Dave Filoni discusses his personal additions to the Yoda arc.
While the stories from Star Wars: The Clone Wars came from George Lucas, Dave Filoni and his team developed them and brought them to life. In the Yoda arc of The Lost Missions, Filoni added Ahsoka Tano to the Jedi Master’s dark vision of Order 66. “I thought, in order for this scene to have value, it has to be someone that we know and we actually care about. You get that on some level…Yoda regrets the way that he treated her.” Filoni says that he added things knowing what Lucas would like, an instinct gained through years of working closely. He also added more visions of what’s to come, and sound from the original Star Wars. Lucas didn’t know those were being included, but Filoni is confident he’d be happy.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Lost Missions is available now on Blu-ray and DVD.
